Jeff Clarke Cup - Derinda Wildman
Francis Martin Memorial Cup - Horns
Dave Crowe Memorial Cup - Daniel Hart & Rebecca Marshall

Miles Amherst Junior Progress Trophy for the Junior member who has made most progress during the year - Rebecca Marshall

One of the products of our Training Band who has progressed to be a strong Front Row Cornet player in the Senior Band!

Fred Poole Memorial Cup for the Musician of the year - Martin Cullwick

Martin had proved himself a capable trombonist as he has developed across the years in his role as second trombone in the Senior Band after bringing his son George along to learn to play in 2002 . Following the unfortunate health problems of our Bass Trombonist, John Warner, he offered to take on the challenge of learning bass clef and  mastering the larger bass trombone. This he achieved with aplomb during the year. So much so that he played the solo 'Wanderin' Star' at John's funeral. A well deserved recipient of this award.

Jeff Clarke Cup awarded to the Band Member of the Year - Derinda Wildman

Derinda joined our Training Band as the mother of two boys who wished to play and last year took on the challenge of playing the Eb Bass. This has seen her rapid promotion to the ranks of the Senior Band as our younger members left for university. She has proven herself to be a dedicated band member and never complains about taking on the challenge of the various minor solos thrown her way including a recent tricky high part in the 'Do You Want to Build A Snowman?' section of the 'Frozen' arrangement. A well deserved recipient of this award for by the members of the band rather than the Musical Director, this award recognises all the work Derinda has done for the Band in the background as a Committee Member.

Francis Martin Memorial Cup for the Section of the Year -  Horns

Congratulation to the Horn Section players Clive Miles, Win Nash, Sue Wilmot and Betty Ellis.

Dave Crowe Memorial Cup for the Cornet Player of the Year - Rebecca Marshall & Daniel Hart

Daniel & Rebecca have stepped up tremendously during the year to provide excellent maternity cover to our principal cornet Helen Walters.
